IPEC is a joint committee of four independent regional industrial associations headquartered in IPEAmericas, IPEC Europe, JPEC, and IPEC China. Plans to increase relevant institutions in India and Brazil are currently underway. Each association focuses on the application of applicable laws, regulations, science, and business operations in the local area to achieve the goals of its member companies. Various associations collaborate and coordinate in the fields of safety and public health related to pharmaceutical excipients, international trade affairs, and pharmacopoeia monographs. More than 300 domestic and multinational pharmaceutical excipient manufacturers, excipient operators, and pharmaceutical manufacturers have joined one or more IPEC regional associations. As a new member of IPEC, IPEC China was registered and established as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong on July 21, 2008. IPEC China will represent the interests of pharmaceutical excipient producers, users, and distributors in China, and develop a series of technical guidelines and standards aimed at improving the quality, standards, and safety of pharmaceutical excipients.
IPEC China's member companies come from pharmaceutical excipient producers, users, and distributors. They will leverage the international resources of IPEC in other regions, based on the actual situation of excipient management in China, to assist regulatory and technical agencies such as SFDA and ChP in coordinating relevant regulations and technical guidelines, thereby enhancing the safety of excipient applications and ensuring public medication safety. At the same time, as a member of the IPEC organization, IPEC China will promote mutual understanding between the pharmaceutical excipient industry at home and abroad, and strive to create a good environment for communication, understanding, unity, and harmonious excipient application, quality assurance, and regulatory control.
IPEC (China) is committed to carrying out, implementing, and promoting quality, safety, and functional standards for suitable pharmaceutical excipients and excipient application systems in China and globally.
